As to start with I tried using the face recognition tracking available in FaceTrack NoIR and my experience was that it blows. You need programming experience to use Opentrack? I use my Edtracker through Opentrack (to tailor curves, add acceleration filters, and turn roll input into x output) and I never had to do any programming to do so. I don't know for sure, so we can leave it out of the discussion if it doesn't have a large advantage over the other two). Freetrack, Facetrack NoIR, and Opentrack(I don't have the C++ programming experience to be able to use Opentrack, but a relative of mine might. So, I did some research and came up with three candidates. But naturally, I don't have the money for TrackIR. I'm planning to try head-tracking because I've heard so much about it's advantages.
